We aim to raise awareness of our trees, hedgerows and woodlands. So we run an annual Photographic Competition, open to all amateur photographers.  In this our 25th Anniversary Year, we also celebrate the UN International Year of Forests 2011.  Therefore CRANN, in association with Coillte, have decided on a theme to celebrate 'The People's Millennium Forest - 10 Years On'.  Entry is FREE so check out the rules, pay a visit to "your" woods and take some magical photos.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
Entries to be sent to: CRANN Photo Competition, P.O. Box 860, Celbridge, Co. Kildare. 
 
·         This competition is open to all amateur photographers.
·         Photographs must be taken during 2011 in any of the 16 Millennium Sites on the Island of Ireland. Visit http://www.millenniumforests.com/ to see the locations of the sites.
·         Prints of photos should be minimum size 6x4 inches up to A4 size maximum.
·         Photographs shot on film or digital will be accepted but manipulation of images to alter or enhance the subject matter is not allowed. All photos must be supplied as a print, digital files will not be accepted.
·         Each photographer may enter up to 3 prints.
·         On the back of each print must include the following information:
Name, Address, Telephone Number, Email Address, Title of Print, Location and Date Taken.
·         Prints should be mounted on light white cardboard not exceeding 2mm thick and larger than 12x16 inches.
·         Wood mounted or framed prints will not be accepted.
·         Only prints sent with a self addressed and stamped envelope for return postage and packaging will be returned.
·         The copyright of the image remains the photographers. However, CRANN and Coillte retain the right to use any images in future publications and on related websites.
·         The organiser will take every care of the photographs but will not be responsible for loss or damage to them during this event.
·         Entering this competition implies full and whole acceptance of the competition rules.
·         The judge’s decision will be final and no correspondence or communications will be entered into in relation to the results.
