Guided forays in beautiful ancient woodlands, cookery demonstrations and tastings of wild mushrooms.  Basket weaving demonstrations and workshops for children.

Diarmuid McAree, Crann Director and former Chief Forestry Inspector with the Forest Service will lead a forest walk and informal talk explaining the mysterious role of fungi in the forest ecological cycle.  Learn about the major contribution of fungi to tree growth and decay and how to identify signs and symptoms of tree diseases and decline.  Tree identification tips and an insight into forest management will also be highlighted.
